Two new murals faced me in Mollett Street today.

The first, by Sofles, was a bit hectic for my holiday mood.

Spectrum Street Art Festival at the YMCA is definitely worth a visit.  Lately I’ve had reason to consider the difference between tagging and street art, and this exhibition is a place where, in my opinion, they meet.

The exhibition space is edgy too, with stairs and turns.  Looking at the pamphlet later I realised I’d completely missed the ‘Kiwi Jungle’ by Flox, so I may need to go back before it all closes on 17 April.

I told the woman in the shop that I didn’t think the show was as good as last year’s, and she told me I am in a minority who think that.
