Yesterday morning an elaborate drill rig was stationed just across Nova Place.

I was told that they were collecting soil samples and it’s all part of EQC’s testing of TC3 land.
By the time I cam home they’d all gone and the hole had been filled in.
“I wonder what they found down there.
Hope our land doesn’t need repair.”

I gather this work is being done all over Christchurch to help make decisions on rebuilding.

There’s been ‘robust discussion’ as to whether EQC would share the results with insurance companies – not sure where that’s all at just now.
