Strong winds last night brought down lots of small branches, and this nest.
I just hope that the birds who used it no longer have need of it. I didn’t see any feathery corpses around, but they might have got blown away too 😦

Your post sent me out to check on our blackbird nest. It looks OK despite tremendous winds with strong gusts buffeting the garden. Fingers crossed. Let’s hope these winds abate very soon so the fire fighters can take some rest once the serious fires are under control or well out.

We’d like to see some rain too. It’s hot and dry and dusty here.

We had a deluge late this afternoon which the garden welcomed. Not so hot here. Some moderation for us all would be helpful.

Ruth, I found an identical nest in the driveway, after the strong winds. It’s so small that it set me wondering what bird had made it.

Now I’m picturing nestless birds all over the country!
