A bag with goodies hanging on the back door, took me by surprise. There’s a pottle of pumpkin soup, and a slab of very nice-looking cake. I couldn’t think who would have left this, especially as we’ve been at home and hadn’t heard anyone knock. I’ve checked with some kind neighbours in case it was them, but no! I also checked with some other neighbours, in case it was meant for them and delivered to us by mistake. One of them said he’d seen an “older lady” come in our gate and knock on the door, but no-one answered. Presumably we just didn’t hear the knock.
I’m a little reluctant to eat food when I don’t know where it’s come from, but it all looks delicious, and I couldn’t bear to waste it. It occurred to me that maybe someone who’d read my last blog thought I needed a care package. If so, please let me know.
“There’s pumpkin soup and lovely cake
which someone’s taken time to make.”
What a lovely surprise. I just found a bag of feijoas hanging on my door. There are a couple of suspects, and no doubt I’ll find out in due course. I would say someone who read your post decided to leave you a treat.

How lovely. I wish I could say it was me, but, as you know already, it wasn’t. 🙂
