My hot chocolate at The Caffeine Laboratory in New Regent Street was not quite what I expected. I was given a glass of hot frothy milk, with a packet of drinking chocolate, which I was told to put in, then stir around.
This I duly did. The chocolate was ‘Bennetto’, 70% organic cocoa, and came in a compostable film wrapper. No indication on the packet as to where it was made, but they are a New Zealand company. The drink tasted not as sweet as usual hot chocolate, and I applaud their efforts to be sustainable.
“It gave me just a tiny shock
to have to make my own hot choc.”
