The invitations are going out for my Leaving Party. A clever volunteer has crafted these online.
When you open the envlope a picture of me pops out briefly.
At first I wondered if I was wearing a feather boa, then realised it’s a scarf I knitted while waiting in hospital for Stephen to recover from an operation. The photo quickly morphs into invitation details, including a map to the venue. You can reply online and even leave a comment on the “wall”. I’m thrilled with the lovely comments there so far. The site keeps details of who’s coming. I haven’t been privy to this (it’s a surprise party), but I imagine there are ways to print name tags, etc.
All this comes via Paperless Post. It has free options, which I will explore When I’m Retired. The system would be wonderul for wedding invitations, or indeed any event.
“Paperless Post has me impressed
for online invites it’s the best.”
