Here’s another Giraffe that’s sitting in Cathedral Square. This one is “Imagine” by the artist Gwilym Devey.
I love its bright colours which could definitely spark some interesting ideas.
This is the last of my giraffe photos. I photographed 18 of the 49 large ones. They are all due to be de-installed this weekend, and made ready for auction on 11 February. I hope some may then end up on permanent public display.

The staff at Christchurch City Council are actively fundraising amongst themselves to raise money to hopefully buy one at the auction. My guess is that if successful their giraffe would end up on display somewhere in the council building on Hereford Street. Perhaps staff at other businesses might like to do something similar.
