“I like your form” is the title of this work by Lonnie Hutchinson.
It’s in the shape of a giant eel trap/hinaki, situated within the archways in the Commons area on the old Crowne Plaza site. This work is part of the Festival of Transitional Architecture, which will take place over Labour Weekend.
Banksy is one of many who have quoted “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.” There’s no doubt that all these inner city artworks are comforting (and occasionally disturbing).
