Yesterday evening we went to enjoy the Festival of Transitional Architecture. In the Sound Garden there were all kinds of giant instruments that you could play. More events were on in the Square, and we enjoyed medieval music on the riverbank. Then we waited for the grand procession of giant puppets depicting the Canterbury Tales.
We saw the puppets gathered ready, and we waited….. Sadly the nor-wester proved too much, and there was an announcement that the procession had to be postponed until the next night. We returned home, fortified by hot chocolates from a stall in the Square. I hope others will enjoy the carnival procession tonight, but I don’t think we’ll go in again.
“That pesky strong nor-wester wind
might mean that puppets turned and spinned.
The wind was wild last night, that’s for sure. Glad you were able to see some of the festival activities.

These gales are disrupting a lot of lives and activities. What you saw looked very interesting.

The wind’s still strong here, so I’m not sure how the procession will go tonight.
