Our office has moved again, and we’re now in a building close to South City Mall. This means I have a slightly longer walk to work, plus stairs to climb when I get there. I look forward to getting fitter with the extra exercise. My new route takes me past more occupied buildings, and I was pleasantly surprised when two different people said ‘good morning’ without my speaking first. I usually try to make eye contact with people as I pass them, but don’t often get a response.
I passed some street art I hadn’t seen before. In Welles Street I saw this wonderful monster:
Then I realised that alongside it was a Tardis, and above the garage door, a Dalek.
I wonder what other sights are in store for me as I tread new paths.
“On foot one may see a new sight
where walls are decked with colours bright.”
I guess it is positive to get a bit more exercise and climbing stairs will get you heart rate up too. I hope the premises are worth the extra time and effort.
