Bentley is a curious cat, who loves to explore, and to sleep. One of his favourite spots is my pillow, especially when the morning sun is shining in.
Why bother getting up?
When I opened the stationery cupboard he bounded in and curled up there. I couldn’t bear to disturb him, and he was still there when I came home three hours later.

I refused to allow him into the bathroom cupboard. He said a very definite ‘Hmph’ and immediately leapt into the bath. How did he know it wasn’t full of water?

Bentley is such a handsome boy and he has rings on his tail just like our humble moggy Jazz.
Strange places to sleep??? Oh yes. Jazz (and his late brother PG) love the lowest drawer in the kitchen which holds plastic bags, brown paper, and bits of string and twine. He likes to fossick about in amongst it all and then settle down to sleep. I have to warn people not to shut the drawer at times as the sleeper can be well tucked down and not easily seen.
Jazz’s strangest sleeping place was on top of a soft, insulated picnic hamper bag that is hung by its handles down in the laundry. It took some searching one hot summer’s day to find him but there he was in a sort of cat hammock!
PG in his later life adored curling up in the warm pillow area of my bed in the morning or right down under the bed clothes when it was very cold…..he formed a sort of cat hump.

Bentley is very beautiful! And beautifies whichever location he chooses to grace.
Having a cat makes me feel better about winter. There can be warm places, and snuggling up in heaps, and the heartwarming pleasure of watching a warm, fed, sleeping cat.
We are lucky!

OG, I love the idea of a cat hammock. I’m sure Bentley would like one too.
Lynne, we are indeed lucky. Bentley is currently stretched out in front of the heater, and his contentment is infectious.
