At 8.30am I saw this car parked on ‘our’ bus stop.
Four buses use this stop each hour, and I thought that one of the drivers might report the illegal parking, but the car was still there at 1.30pm. By the time I came home it was gone. Could it be a communter (now there’s a typo that’s a Freudian slip!) who doesn’t realise that there are now bus services using Barbadoes Street? If he’d reversed a couple of metres he’d have been fine. (That’s a sexist comment, which shows my prejudices.)
Near our office there’s a bus stop that’s clearly marked “Closed” and we park there with impunity, but I wouldn’t want to chance my luck on an active bus stop. Maybe the Council staff are too busy worrying about a CERA takeover to care.
“It’s a strange place to choose to park
and likely to invite remark.”
I love your word “communter” Ruth….perhaps the commuter’s car was munted and crawled to a stop right here and would go no further?

Had you thought, Eagle eye and camera snapper of reporting this illegally parked owner??? Maybe the car was towed away…….and locked up. or maybe someone generous allowed it to be there until the owner was ready to collect it. C

OG – I was thinking more of the driver being someone who demolishes buildings, but you never know…
Carol – reporting it crossed it my mind, but it seemed petty and I didn’t think the car would last long there.
