The information from the Red Cross yesterday was wrong, and we have not been liberated. This kind of confusion just goes on and on.
Today our dairy was demolished
The Deaf Association building next door seems fine, and they may well be relieved to have the dairy gone so they can re-occupy their offices.
Our excitement today has been the arrival of a furry refugee from the eastern suburbs. Bentley’s home is not habitable at present, and his Mum had been travelling an hour each way daily to feed him. Now that we are catless we were happy to offer a foster home. He sniffed around a little bit, then hid under the bed where he’s been for the last two hours. We’ll need to be very careful to keep him shut in until he’s become accustomed to our home – not sure how long that will take.
“Should we put butter on his paw
or would that just upset him more?”
The Cat’s Protection League here say a month – not easy, but better than taking risks.
WE WANT PHOTOS!!

A couple of websites I looked at say two weeks, but that’s when the owner is moving with the cat. I can’t take photos while he’s under the bed. You’ll have to wait until he’s much more settled.

It’s probably also when the owner is moving but the earth isn’t…
