Ferrymead Historic Park was open but totally deserted when I arrived for a wedding rehearsal in the Moorhouse Church. It’s twenty years since I last went to the park, and I got there early as I was uncertain just where the church was. Ignoring the empty car park I drove on through the historic village and found a building that looked like a church, although it had no signage.
Not a soul was in sight, although I could hear machinery noises in the background. While I was waiting for the bridal party I took a photo of the spectacular Castle Rock.
The day of the wedding was fine, but very windy. The old church creaked alarmingly and the lightshades swayed, reminding everyone of earthquakes.
