Yesterday’s wedding was at the Riccarton Park Teahouse.
This grand timber building was constructed in 1903 to a design by the Luttrell brothers. In the 1990s it fell into disrepair, and was beautifully restored in 2008, thanks to a heritage grant of $72,000 from the Christchurch City Council. For the wedding the entrance was draped with white muslin and decorated with pink and white flowers. It made a most romantic setting.
“The Teahouse is a stylish spot
where brides and grooms can tie the knot.”
