My breakfast cuppa was served in a lovely pink spotted teapot at Pepperberry, on the corner of Colombo Street and Bealey Avenue.
I was tempted to eat “crepes with fresh orange slices smothered in caramel sauce” but I’m trying to limit my sugar intake. My choice was pan fried mushrooms in creamy brandy sauce on ciabatta – delicious! Stephen had the big breakfast which included re-fried potatoes – a pleasant change from hash browns. This cafe is part-florist, an excellent idea as they are just across the road from the Southern Cross Hospital. A few interesting nick-knacks for sale, and many motels nearby, should ensure good custom. They open at 7am on weekdays, 7.30 on Saturdays. We arrived at 7.45am on Monday and for the first half hour the only other customers bought a couple of takeaway coffees. The food is good and beautifully presented. I recommend Pepperberry.
“The tea was weak with water hot
served in a lovely spotty pot.”

Interesting tea pots and their cosies are making a come-back in some places.
I was intrigued with your post title. I expected an interesting plant!
It’s good name for somewhere that deals with food and plants. My teapot was one of those ones that has the pot on top of a matching cup.
