Yesterday there was a line of sandcastles on the beach, many of them with moats and decorations. I wondered whether there had been a school class there.

The group on the left were dressed in martial arts gear, doing exercises in the shallows. They’re often there on a Saturday morning.

I would love to go to a sandy beach and build a castle with moats, last weekend at Castlepoint, there were competitions for the best ones and the new idea of statues… great fun to watch children of all ages!
