The first tubes for the cardboard cathedral were put in place yesterday.
This amazing building will be an asset to the community and the venue for many celebrations.
“Now tube erection has begun.
Our cardboard church should soon be done.”

trouble with some folk in NZ when they hear Cardboard, they dont realise what its going to be like, they think of cardboard as for boxes, think they will be pleasantly surprised. Hope you are able to give us a weekly update please…
This is so interesting. I look forward to seeing more.
I find it interesting that at the same time I’m seeing the Cathedral grow, I’m watching the demolition of the flats opposite the Cottage.
Ruth, where are they building it?
I am also looking forward to regular updates if you are able to provide them.
The Cardboard Cathedral is going on the site of the old St John’s Church, on the south-east corner of Latimer Square (Hereford/Madras corner). I’ll put more photos up as work progresses.
