I’m intrigued by this message on a plastic cover around a planter outside the new Central Library on Tuam.
It reads: “You can order a hot water bottle”. Does this mean that library customers can have a hottie to hold while they sit reading? I could have gone in and asked a librarian, but it was cold and I wanted to hurry home. There’s a place on the library website where you can ask a question, so I have, and within three days I should know just what the purpose of this message is.
It may possibly be related to Johnny Moore’s pop-up bar on the Victoria Street Bealey Avenue corner. I understand that because they are open air, they offer hot water bottles to customers.
“It’s an idea not so dotty
to have when reading, a warm hottie.”
