Tonight’s the night when the moon is at its perigee – the closest it comes to earth all year. Because it’s also a full moon, it’s called a supermoon.
Although the sky was cloudy the moon could be seen quite clearly.
I thought it looked more dramatic through trees, but my camera automatically focussed on the leaves rather than the moon. There’s likely to be higher tides than usual, but we’re not expecting werewolves.
”A full moon is a super sight
that’s coming closer in tonight.”

The moon is shining in a clear sky here tonight Ruth. I tried to take a photo of the moonlight shining off some tree leaves but my photography skills did not extend to achieving that goal.
I’m glad you could see the moon through the clouds.
OG, it’s possible our photography skills are at similar levels. Thank (extraordinary) goodness for digital cameras.
the moon in your photo looks very ordinary….and I do like the photo of the leaves. At home last night on such a clear and still night the moon shone large and bright and came in my skylight windows.
