I’m organising a conference for early next year, and last week I sent out a call for presenters. We’re looking for local people who can demonstrate internet-based tools which would be useful for people who work in the voluntary sector. So far I’ve had seven replies, six of them from men. It’s likely that most of those who attend the conference will be women and I’d really like to get some gender balance. Surely there must be more than one woman around who uses things like Skype, SurveyMonkey, or Wikis and could talk about it? They don’t need to be IT experts. Congratulations Emma on being the first brave female!
